The formation and development of the informational competence I Taller “La perspectiva informacional en la Educación Superior transformadora, de calidad, pertinente y sostenible”

Abstract
The study reveals the significance in the formation and development of the informational competence from the analysis of the potentialities that presents the discipline Language and Communication for freshmen, in which the value of the independent study is enhanced in the self-management of the information in the access process, evaluation, processing and communication of it. The objective defined for the investigation was to appraise the learning activities from the subjects of study that integrate the discipline Language and Communication for the formation and development of informational competence, in the degree of Bachelor of Education, Spanish-Literature Major. The methods of the theoretic level used were, empirical and statistical-mathematical. The sample defined was 100 % (4) of the freshmen of the degree of Bachelor of Education, Spanish-Literature Major. The pertinence of the learning intervening activities the application of socialization workshops at the university “Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz” of Camagüey was checked on. As a result, the freshmen achieved the integration of knowledge of the subjects that conform the discipline of study with the sciences of the information, the ones in which the cognitive, the procedural and the attitudinal in use and handling of the information are taken into consideration, which therefore contributes to the development of the informational competence. The adoption of new procedures stands out in the orientation of the activity that professors carry out which involves the modifications of concepts and classifications such as the one referred to the basic and reference literature accomplishes; which presupposes the surging of informative needs.
