Operational reliability for the industry, a non-school seminar from the academic and productive linkage II Taller Internacional "Universidad-sector productivo y de los servicios"

Abstract

At the Escuela Superior de Ingeniería Mecánica y Eléctrica, Unidad Azcapotzalco of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional of Mexico, a non-school seminar called "Operational Reliability for the Industry" is offered, with the purpose of updating the participants and obtaining their professional degree at a higher level. One of the functions of this seminar is to link the academic area with the productive sector, through two modes: the update obtained by the external participants to integrate the knowledge to their work practice; and the degree, with the development of a terminal written work focused on the industry, from topics that try to solve problems on reliability in the productive sector where they work. In both modes, feedback was promoted to keep the contents of the topics, examples and case studies up to date, in order to establish the link with the national public and private productive sector. The seminar was carried out through a virtual educational platform and videoconferences, so that it was accessible to participants from anywhere in Mexico or abroad, as long as they were connected to an Internet network and the registration was done physically at the school's facilities.
