The integral and continuous training of education professionals in the current Cuban context X Taller Internacional sobre la “Formación Universitaria de Profesionales de la Educación”

Abstract

The current complex economic and socio-educational conditions of the country in which university processes are developed constitute a mobilizing spring of the scientific and innovative potentialities of universities and their cloisters, to move to higher stages and results in the integral formation of the university professional in general and of education in particular. This paper presented a theoretical-methodological conception on integrality, integral formation and pedagogical integrality in the continuous formation of the education professional, as a result of the Research Project "Pedagogical integrality in the university formation of education professionals", associated to the Sectorial Program of the MES: Higher Education and Sustainable Development. The results obtained in this research allow scientifically substantiating the existence of a set of signs that reveal inadequacies in the process of integral and continuous training of the education professional and to make some methodological recommendations that may contribute to the understanding of the direction of such process, to the prevention of inadequacies and to give a qualitative turn to the process of integral and continuous training as a system.
